Strategies to support such traditional approaches as phonemic awareness, however, are but a
part of a much larger range of instructional strategies appropriate for beginning readers and

some fairly simple ways to use computers and other technology to aid writing and, more generally, representation and communication; and the value of including high-quality literature in the curriculum.
